What makes this derivative is that the bloodline does all the explaining. Every beat follows from destiny rather than decision, so the reader has no reason to worry — she will win because the story already said she would. The pivot: make the bloodline a liability instead of an inheritance. If her power is what draws the shadow army to the village, mastering it endangers everyone who shelters her, and every training scene becomes a cost rather than a milestone.
This is roughly two-thirds a known structure right now — the gap above is what closes it.
The premise itself is familiar territory, but nothing here is unsalvageable. Inverting the bloodline from gift to threat changes the shape of every scene without changing the story you set out to tell.
